Heaven’s battle and band
Rain, thunder, showers shine
Silver arrows fall from the sky
But no man can call them “mine”
For them come from heaven high
Gently they fall like quiet whispers
Amid the battle of the heavens
While one flashes the other cries
Thunder and lightning rule the sky
All through this the rain will flow
To the river it must go
So they fall forever more
Till they reach the ocean’s core
But while on the ground they form little men
Each one lasting only a second
But their voices they gladly lend
To the rain’s noisy band
So this continues night and day
For this is the December’s way
When the heavens want battle and song
And the rains play along
