What I am thankful
for this Christmas
Christmas is once
again here
The time of giving
and the time of cheer
But most of all it is
the time
To be thankful for
the blessings this year
I have so much to be
thankful for
I know not where to
start
Thankful I can see
and feel
Thankful for each
beat of my heart
For the family and
friends
Their love and their
care
For the times we’ve
spent together
The memories that we
share
Thankful for
opportunities
The laughter and the
tears
Thankful for God’s
grace
When alone and in
fear
Thankful that I am
able to give
That I have plenty on
my side
Thankful for the
chance
To show love and do
right
To learn and to grow
Each and every day
Thankful for the
kindness
Received in every way
But most of all I am
thankful
That if everything
that was given was gone
I would be received at
heaven’s door
Because my Saviour was
born
