Aching fingers on the guitar
My guitar I have you to blame
For the pain which makes my fingers lame
I don’t mind pressing things with my leg
But with fingers they just ache
But I suppose it is also my own fault
For practising without much thought
As to what my fingers would say
If I kept them on strings all day
But alas what excuse could I give?
To my fingers as they groan
Even if I played well (which I don’t)
I think they would still moan
But to play well I must practise
And the pain is but the price
So I am sorry my little fingers
Maybe I should get you some ice
